![]() I started treating which kept the bite amounts at a plateau but never stopped them. At this point we had not physically verified it was bed bugs. Sometimes two weeks out a red circle remained but had no sensation. Seemed like the itch went from one bite to another, one at a time. I’d avoid scratching and it would subside for a time. My body seemed to transition in and out of an intense itch. They were sore, sometimes down into the muscle. Red surrounding, hard tip in the center at the point of the bite. They swelled up like mosquito bites, white mounds with red around them. After a month or so the swelling went down and mostly flattened out but those spots are STILL red, almost like scars.Īfter that first bunch the bites came one or two at a time a few times a week. They were clustered of around five with some single bites out away from that cluster. The first cluster of bites swelled up to the size of BB gun pellets approaching pea size. I can give you my firsthand account, though. We all react differently, like the bot says. (One of three bites that appeared on my arm today and yesterday) I should mention that I've been taking an antihistamine since the bites from 3 weeks prior. I have included pics of the bites from 3 weeks ago, and from today for comparison. What confuses me is that there are only the three bites this time, no swelling or intense redness. I immed became concerned that they were bed bugs striking again, as they are known to bite in threes. Then, today, I noticed one more little red spot appear, bringing the total to three. I find two bites, but was outdoors on Saturday and had to swat away a mosquito who was biting me. Flash forward three weeks, and that exact same area starts itching again (around the elbow). I've been paranoid and on guard in case they come back. I have not yet found any evidence of them, and had a Terminix inspector who also didn't find anything. My sister said it looked like I'd been stung by a bunch of angry bees. There was a great deal of redness and swelling. ![]() ![]() ![]() I was bitten exactly three weeks ago and it was bad - there were fifteen bites down my right forearm, clustering around my elbow crease.
